How to Make 9 Lyric Videos in 10 Minutes With CapCut Pro

By Finch Bergling · Jun 16, 2026 · 📱 Content & Social

AI did something amazing and kind of scary at the same time. It gave musicians a way to save time on marketing, so they can spend more of their energy on the part that matters most, which is making music that a human made.

There are tools now that build a full ad campaign for you, get you placed on playlists, and spit out hundreds of pieces of content, all in a few minutes.

It's tempting, and honestly, if you have zero time and zero money, they might be a decent starting point. But the results are nowhere near what you'd get doing the work yourself. When you pay almost nothing for content, the content usually performs like it.

I'm not going to pretend you can always afford better. If your only two options are paying $20 for a tool that makes you 100 videos or making no videos at all, then yes, make the 100 videos.

But there's a third option that's cheaper and works better. All you need is CapCut Pro.

Why I'd pick CapCut over an all-in-one AI tool

You might wonder why I'd pick CapCut over the faster all-in-one tools like TheFlowStage. There are a few reasons:

  • It has way more filters and effects.
  • It doesn't cap how many videos you can make in a month.
  • The monthly subscription is cheaper overall.
  • You keep full control over your editing.
  • The stock photo and video library is much bigger.

How to make 9 lyric videos from one clip

I made a set of these for the band FVNERAL for their song Landline. Here's how it works.

  • Start with one clip. I used the band's performance clip, but you can use anything, like a clip from CapCut's own library or a scene from a popular movie you find on YouTube.
  • Cut three different parts of the song out of it.
  • In CapCut, go to "Caption" and then "Auto Lyrics". It puts the lyrics on screen for you automatically.
  • Go through the lyrics and fix them by hand, because CapCut gets words wrong sometimes.
  • Give each clip three different lyric styles. Click on the lyrics, go to "Text", and choose a template.
  • Export each version separately, one by one. To set where a clip starts and stops, press "i" to mark the start point and "o" to mark the end point.

Three clips with three lyric styles each give you 9 pieces of content from one video. Doing the same thing across different AI platforms would cost you more than $20 a month.

Learning to do it well might take you a few weeks, sometimes a few months. But once you get the hang of it, you'll get far better results at the same speed those "fast and easy" tools promise you.

Short lyric videos like these also make great Meta ads for a song. I show how I build the ad videos, the hooks and the targeting in Label Level Ads.

A content idea to try: yapping

One format that took over Instagram this year is yapping. I noticed it a lot from my American friends (shoutout to Liz, hi Liz).

You talk to the camera, a lot, about something small, and it works because people relate to it so easily.

In one example I saw, a musician yaps about the Instagram algorithm: "Tell me why we have 5,000 followers and we just posted a teaser and it got no traction." It's a perfect way to get new people interested in you, your music and your personality.
